TThe European experts of media education gathered in Hungary for the first time to discuss the best methods of fostering media awareness in the younger generations. Nearly 200 media education experts shared their experience at the conference, which was organized by the Media and Infocommunications Authority, Hungary.
They were also informed about the work of the Dutch and German facilities of media literacy education.
Our Scandinavian speakers shed light on the background of media literacy research and its regulatory environment.
Besides highlighting the future role of media education centres, the speakers also discussed the potential of integrating the practical skills acquired in these centres into the public and higher education curricula.
